The Bridal Consultant was formed in 2003 by Lisa Burton. The idea developed after Lisa planned her own wedding while holding down a demanding job. She realised, just like many, that there isn't enough time in the day to take on another full time job, which is what planning a wedding could be compared to! However rather than planning weddings in the UK, Lisa wanted to incorporate her love for travelling with the new business so decided to work in the expanding market of weddings abroad.

Working on cruise ships had opened her eyes to the conveyor belt type of wedding, and Lisa quickly realized that couples choosing to get married abroad were not receiving the type of service they deserved.
'Destination Weddings should be just as unique and special as those couples getting married here in the uk', and this is the principle on which the bridal consultant was born.

100's of weddings later we are often asked what the secret is to our success and we can honestly say it is two very simple things, honesty and fantastic customer service. Both developed while working in the states and both values which we now use every day in The Bridal Consultant.

The Bridal Consultant is a full wedding planning service, we are able to guide you through all stages of the wedding planning process.

• One point of contact from day one. You will be assigned a dedicated wedding planner and will be given their direct line and mobile number.
• UK based offices with professional weddings planners in each location. With us you don't have to worry about the expense of phoning abroad, language barriers and time zones, all the planning and legal work is administered in the UK with our professional wedding planners, so even during peak wedding season you will receive swift answers to any queries.
• Full support with all legal work. We will provide you with the correct, up to date information from day one. If requirements change you will be the first to know! We will provide time lines and full instructions of what to do, when and where. We provide templates for declarations, help with translation and we'll even send your documents to the Foreign Commissioners Office for you. All of our client's legal work is agreed with the local authorities prior to arrival in resort and, if you follow our advice and guidance, there will be no last minute, unwelcome surprises.

We have an office in Sheffield, it's very central so easy to get too from the north or south, we hold regular wedding weekends for couples that wish to meet with us before booking their wedding. We also invite clients in a few months before the big day to complete the final planning, its more friendly than email!
